5D Football Academy, Abuja has appointed the Publisher of Sportspro Nsws, Bayour Issah, popularly known as the Dean of the Sports, as its consultant.

This was made known on Friday June 27, 2025, when he met with some U-20 players of the Academy at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamashingba, Ibadan, who came for an exhibition match.

According to Bayour Issah, the appointment had been confirmed since late last year, but he decides not to make it public.

5D Football Academy was founded by a US-based former Nigerian football player, Charles Abia Ohaegbulem, who is a believer in “giving back to the society”, that has given him so much in life.

The Football Academy operates with a philosophy of “Catch-Them-Young”, with the ultimate aim of nurturing them to stardom, by ensuring they secure professional contract with European clubs.

Bayour Issah is one of Nigeria’s most revered Sports journalists who have been in the business of sports reportage for over three decades, covering global events like the FIFA World Cups, Athletics championships, the All African Games, the African Cup of Nations, among other major competition.

He is also a grassroots sports development guru, with a touch of international best practices, who is involved in sports administration at various levels.

With him as the Consultant to 5D Football Academy, it won’t be out of order to describe the Academy as the newest conveyor belt of footballing talents in Nigeria that would feed the various national teams.
