The Chairperson of Female Football Development Committee of the Kwara State Football Association, Hajia Segilola Alaya has reiterated her resolve to continue to support the development of girl child, especially in football.
The Proprietress of Abruka Queens Football Club stated this during the final ceremony of the Ilorin East Football Council organized Female Football tournament, at the Government Day Secondary School, Isale Koto, Ilorin, on Tuesday.
While commending the State FA, under the leadership of Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa, and the Ilorin East Football Council, being chaired by Alhaji Sulayman Toyin Olokoba, she praised the organizers and the participating Wards for their sacrifice.
Agbeyangi Ward defeated Magaji Are Ward II 2-0 in the final to win the trophy, while Iponrin went home with the third place prize, after beating Magaji Ward by 20- on penalties, after playing out a goalless draw at regulation time.
