Contractor vows to deliver Kwara Handball Court before National Championship

The Managing Director of J and G Global Works Limited, John Adebowale Adepoju has expressed the readiness of his company to deliver a world class facility.

Adebowale, whose company is currently handling the renovation of the Handball court at the Kwara State Stadium Complex made the disclosure to Newsmen over the weekend.

The handball court, which is being renovated by the Kwara state government, is among many other sports facilities renovation approved by the state government.

“The project has began and we have very limited time to finish it. This is because a competition will hold in this arena on the 25th of this month and by the grace of God, the court will be ready before then” Adepoju said.

Talking about the mandate, he stated that the approach is to overhaul the court and change its face to meet up with international standard while also applying materials that will stand the test of time.

“The court upon completion will be a standard one and will definitely attract a lot of National and International competition which will in turn be a pride to Kwara State”

Also speaking to the newsmen, Engineer Peter Chuks, the Site Engineer is confident that the project will be delivered before the stipulated time.

“We are going to be having the face lift in terms of the  floodlights, drainage system, perimeter fence, chairs for spectators and canopy on all the seating” Chuks added.

The handball court will be playing host to National U-18/21 Handball Championship 2021, which is slated to hold in Ilorin, from March 25 – April 2, 2021.

Recall that Kwara state is the defending champion of the National Handball U-21 Girls Category.

Among other projects currently ongoing at the Kwara State Stadium Complex are the reconstruction of a world class swimming pool, squash courts and volleyball court
