Kwara State Football Association bye election for Ilorin Central, earlier scheduled to come up on Saturday August 29th has been shifted to Monday August 31st, at the Board Room of the FA House.
The postponement, according to the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Alhaji Saliu Ojibara, was due to unforeseen circumstances.
‘Unforeseen circumstances may likely jeopardize the election earlier scheduled for the August 29th, 2020, hence the need to postponed to August 31st, 2020’, a statement by the Chairman stated.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee therefore, called on concerned stakeholders to bear with the inconveniences that the shift in date might have caused, even as he reassured of total comittment to the tasks ahead.
Meanwhile, the three contestants for the bye election have passed screening.
The screening was conducted today, at the Kwara FA House, inside the Kwara State Stadium Complex.
the contestants are Chief (Mrs) Abimbola Olaoye, Hajia Segilola Alaya and Mallam AhmedTosho Mohammed.
Chief Olaoye is the Proprietress of Abimbola Olaoye Female football Academy, in Oke-Oyi, and Principal, Panada Junior Secondary School, in Ilorin east Local Government Area.
Hajia Alaya is the Vice Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of Female Football Interest Group (FFIG), and also owns a Female Football Academy.
Mallam Tosho is a retired Grade One Referee, who distinguished himself while active in the trade, as a Premier League Referee.
