Kwara FA gives green light for resumption of football activities

The Kwara State Football Association has confirmed the resumption of football activities in the state.

This was contained in an announcement today by the Chairman of the association, Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa, who stated the FA has officially declared the return of football activities following consultations and clarifications on guiding protocols.

Malam Musa, who was delighted with the latest development, assured all concerned parties that no stone will be left unturned in addressing challenges that may arise to hinder the game, while also calling on all stakeholders to abide by all guiding protocols as provided by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He stated that following the fumigation of the stadium, other directives that must be duly observed at all football activities in the state includes:
washing of hands with water and soap, availability of sanitizers, availability of temperature infrared, usage of nose mask, observation of social distancing, playing in open place, not more than 120 players and officials from a match day and not more than 60 for training, and that referees are to strictly ensure all protocols are observed before commencement of any football game.

The Chairman, while hammering of the need to follow the guiding protocols, explain the delay was a result of clarification of events from the NFF, even as he thanked everyone for their usual cooperation.
