Kwara FA visits traditional rulers, calls for healhy participation at grassroots level

In continuation of its grassroots sensitization ahead of the Local Football Council elections, the Kwara State Football Association during the week visited the Olosi of Osi, in Ekiti Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe Arowobeku II, in his Palace in Osi

The FA train, led by tbe Chairman, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa also visited the Alofa of Iloffa, in Oke-Ero Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Adeniyi Dada to seek their support.

The FA had earlier paid similar visit to the Olomu of Omu-Aran and Ologbomona of Igbomina land, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, with the mission to ensure healthy participation in football development at the grassroots.

At the Palace of Olosi, Oba Adasofegbe pledges total support to the growth of the round leather game, and encouragement of adequate participation in the process.

The Monarch commended the FA, being led by Mallam Idris, for entrenching a sound football development culture that gives credence to the grassroots.

For the Alofa of Iloffa, Oba Samuel Adeniyi Dada, he appreciated the FA for the visit, promising to support the cause, both morally and.financially.

He praise FA for their achievements and promised to support the candidacy of the incumbent Chairman, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, popularly known as Thuraya, in his re-election bid.

Earlier in his address to the Monarchs in their Palaces, Mallam Idris notified the traditional rulers of the forthcoming Local Football Council Elections and the need for their support for a smooth transition.

The FA Chairman also preached for grassroots football and youth development at the local level
