Going by the resolutions of the Electoral and Appeals Committees for the Kwara State Football Councils Elections, the Kwara State Football Association has appointed Heads of Interim Committees for Asa, Ifelodun, Ilorin West and Moro Local Government Area FootballCouncils.
It would be recalled that the Appeals Committee directed the Kwara State Football Association to, as a matter of urgency, constitute Interim Committees to run the affairs of the four Councils, for failing to meet all the requirements for elections.
The Electoral Committee had, after the screening on Thursday March 9, 2023, disqualified the four Local Government Areas from the exercise.
In the list made available to sportsbash.com.ng, Asa Local Football Council will have Alhaji Mujeeb Ibrahim as the Chairman of the Interim Committee, while Ifelodun and Ilorin West Local Football Councils will have Mr Dauda Bello Hauja and Alhaji AbdulRazaq Adebayo Owolabi Agbaji Wopa as Chairmen respectively.
Mr Sunday Oyetunji will Chair Moro Local Football Council Interim Committee.
The Interim Committees will take charge of the affairs of their respective Local Football Councils and also ensure the conduct of a smooth and successful transition to have an election in their Councils in a very shortest time.
The Interim Committees will be inaugurated on Sunday 12th March, 2023 at Alhaji Shehu Usman Mustapha Football House, Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
The Kwara State Football Association Electoral Committee members are Alhaji Saliu Ojibara (Chairman), Alhaji Abdulkareem Ayinde and Barrister Anthony Kayode Towoju
In the Appeal Committee are Mr Emmanuel Dada Obafemi (Chairman), Mrs Serah Bola Esan and Professor AbdulGafar Ijaiya.
