The Kwara State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) organised 2022 table tennis competition among affiliated Chapels has been scheduled to hold between Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th of August, 2022.
The competition will be staged in honour of the Special Assistant on Sports Development to Kwara Governor, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim.
It will also be powered by the Special Assistant, who is the Talban Samari of Patigi.
Tagged NUJ/Attahiru Ibrahim Table Tennis competition, the tournament is being staged to strengthen the unity and togetherness among the Chapels, and also to promote the spirit of sports development among the journalists.
The Organizing Committee of the tournament has therefore, called for registration for the Championship. Each of the affiliated Chapels are expected to field one male and one female player for the Singles Male and Singles Female competition.
A statement from the Chairman of the Planning Committee and Chairman, The Herald Chapel of NUJ, Jimoh Bashir said registration for the tournament will commence on Monday 25th and end on Friday 29th of this month.
The statement urged the Chapel leaders to forward the names of their representatives to Jimoh Bashir on or before Friday July 29th, 2022.
The competition is expected to hold at the State Secretariat of the NUJ, Offa Road, Ilorin, beginning from 10am each day.
