A partnership on consultation and support was today solidified by Kwara State Football Association and their Osun State counterparts, on the completion of Osun State Football House, named after late Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi.
The Chairman of Osun FA, Otunba AbdulRazaq Mustapha Ajiroba, who led other members of his team on a courtesy visit to Kwara FA in Ilorin said that they were in Ilorin to learn from the host FA, on how the Alhaji Usman Mustapha Football House was completed and commissioned.
According to the Chairman, who is the Proprietor of Ajiroba Ooni Football Club, ‘we are here to learn from you, how you were able to complete and commission your Football House’
Kwara Football House was the first to be completed and commissioned among the six Football Houses earmarked for six states in the six geo-political zones by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and supported by Aiteo.
Apart from Kwara and Osun states, the other Football Houses are in Jigawa, Bayelsa, Borno and Abia states.
Otunba AbdulRazaq, who commended his Board members, added that they all have interest in driving football in Osun, and that there commitment is outstanding.
He pledges to continue to seek consultation and support from Kwara FA on how to lift football in the state, especially on the completion of the Football House.
While receiving the team, the Chairman of Kwara FA, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa commended Osun FA, and late Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, for his impact on football development in Osun and Nigeria at large.
He also explained late Ogunjobi’s impact on his journey towards becoming the Kwara FA Chairman.
He outlined some of the strategies they employed to have the Kwara Football House completed, and how Osun FA can benefit from the line-up.
He also pledged to be part of the processes towards having the project in Osun completed.
Alhaji Idris commended the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support to Kwara FA, and the Board members for their sacrifice, all of which he says, are instrumental towards achieving the dream.
