Kwara Sports Commission congratulates Falcons for picking Final 8 ticket

The Kwara State Sports Commission, through the Director General, Dr. Steve Olarinoye has, on behalf of government and the sporting public sent its congratulations to Kwara Falcons for qualifying for the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Final 8, at the Atlantic Conference Men’s Premier Basketball League going on in Akure.

Dr. Steve, in the congratulatory message he personally delivered to the team in Akure during Falcons win against Ekiti Invaders, noted that entire Kwarans are overwhelmed by the team’s outstanding results and re-emphasized the state government’s resolve in providing the maximum support for the team to succeed.

He said that the Executive Governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, and the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji are delighted with the peculiarities of the team results which bodes well for sports development in the state, even as he boosted the players morale with financial support.

“You have made every Kwarans proud by your performances and I want to assure you that we shall continue to drum support for the team ahead of the Final 8, as we hope and pray that the team will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Dr. Olarinoye also thanked the management and technical crew for the good work done so far in bringing smiles to the good people of Kwara state, and expressed his warmest appreciation to basketball fans and stakeholders who has  supported the team in showing their unflinching and colourful support.

Kwara Falcons booked a spot at the Final eight schedule for Lagos, after outscoring Lagos Islanders on Matchday four before flying past Ekiti Invaders (67-50) on Sunday to stretch it’s record to 5-0 with three more games to be played.
