Kwara to host 1st LMK Sport Kit National U-15 badminton tourney

Under -15 badminton players from across the country will between Wednesday August 24th, to Sunday August 28th, 2022, converge in Ilorin, for the maiden LMK Sport Kit U-15 National Championship.
The competition is being organized by the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) in conjunction with Kwara State Badminton Association, and powered by LMK Sport Kit Limited.
LMK Sport Limited is owned by a former badminton player and Independent Business Owner, Abdulfatai Salaudeen.
Salaudeen had earlier supported the development of the sport in the state by sponsoring Badminton Clinic, where over 80 kids were taken through the fundamental techniques, and provided with kits, in 2019.
According to the organisers, two male and two female players would represent each of the participating states in the national competition, which was conceived to further the growth of the game from the grassroots.
All the participants will be accommodated and fed throughout their stay in Ilorin, as a way of encouraging participation, even as mouth watering prizes have also been made available.
The State Badminton Association is leaving no stone unturned, in having a befitting competition, including, but not limited to giving facelift to the facility that will be used.
The competition will be played inside the Indoor Sports Hall of the Kwara State Sports Commission, as participants are expected to arrive on August 24th, 2022.
The finals will hold on August 27th, and will be graced by the President of BFN, Francis Obih, the State Chairman, Engr Sulaiman Warah, the National Technical Director, Mallam Tunde Kazeem, the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, the sponsor, Abdulfatai Salaudeen and others.
