Kwara United beats Foresight Academy 6-0 to win FA Cup

The 2021 Kwara State Men’s FA Cup was rounded up on yesterday at the State Stadium Complex, with Kwara United Football Club picking the sole ticket to the National Competition, pummeling amateur side, Foresight Academy 6-0 in a one sided encounter.

Witnessed by stakeholders and other notable individuals, the Harmony Boys controlled the encounter, dominating territories throughout the game.

Having scored two first half goals, the Harmony Boys increased the intensity to further add four, which culminated in the 6-0 drubbing.

Alao Danbani scored a second half brace after Michael Ohanu and segun Alebiosu had scored in the first half.
Afeez Olororo and Chisom Emmanuel completed the rout later on to further cement the Club’s grip on the trophy they won last time in 2019.

Chairman of the State Football Association, Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa led other dignitaries during the medals presentation, including Mallam Busari Ishola, Alhaji Saliu Ojibara, Mallam Kehinde Jimoh, Alloy Chukwuemeka, Hajia Segilola Alaya and host of others.

The competition proper will be completed today, when Moje Queens of Erin-Ile engages Kwara Ladies United in the Female Final by 3pm.

The winner between the two will join Kwara United FC to represent the state in the 2021 Aiteo Cup competition.
