Kwara United Volleyball team beats Sokoto Caliphate Spikers in Division 1 league opener

Kwara United Volleyball team this morning started their campaign in the Division One League holding in Kaduna on a winning note,  defeating Sokoto Caliphate Spikers three straight sets.

They defeated Sokoto Caliphate Spikers 25-13, 25-23 and 25- 21.

The team put up an impressive performance at the beginning of the match to ensure its qualification to the National Volleyball Premier League from the Championship which serves as qualifier.

Speaking to sports writers after the match, Kwara United Volleyball Coach, Wale Gbadamosi praised the players for playing to instructions, and charged them to remain focused and determined to ensure their qualification to the Premier League.

The Captain of the side, Adedayo Oke restated the determination of the Kwara United Volleyball team to do the state proud and win the ticket for the Premier league.

He urged Kwarans to keep supporting the team with prayers so as to excel in the task ahead.

The Competition continues tomorrow at the same venue.
