NPFL/LaLiga U15 Promises: Kumbi, Engr. Olaide motivate Kwara United

The Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Kumbi Titiloye, and one of the strong supporters of the club in the state, Engr Olaide Ahmed have roled out mouthwatering incentives for the U15 team, currently in Ikenne for the NPFL/LaLiga U15 Promises competition.

The Club Chairman, while congratulating the team for beating Doma United 3-1 in their first match today, pledged a support of N20, 000 for each win throughout the competition, and N5, 000 for each goals scored.

He however, charged the team, being handled by Coach Bolaji Abdulkadri to remain focused and determined and to maintain and sustain the philosophy of the team.

Equally, Engr Olaide Ahmed, while commending the boys for their bravery, pledged the same largesse as that of the Chairman of the Club, Kumbi Titiloye, N20, 000 for a win and N5, 000 for each goal scored, throughouttheir campaign.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cyteck Engineering Company praised Kwara United for giving the young players the opportunity to exhibit their talents, even as he commended the NPFL for sustaining the partnership between it and Spanish League, which affords the young players the atmosphere to flourish and flower.

Abdulazeez Abubakar scored the first goal for Kwara United in the 55th minute, as Qudus Irebamide and Sulaiman Olatunji added the second and third goals in the 60th and 69th minutes respectively. Doma United got a goal to reduce the deficit in the closing minute of the game.

Sulaiman Olatunji was picked as the Man of the Match (MOTM).

Kwara United are drawn in Group B alongside Akwa United, Sunshine Stars and Doma United. They will file out against Akwa United in their second game on Monday, April 17, 2023, and the third against Sunshine Stars on Wednesday April 19, 2023, from 10.00am.

The Group matches of the competition are expected to run between Thursday April 13th and Saturday April 22nd, with two teams expected to advance to the quarter-finals from the four groups.

The first and second quarter-finals will take place on April 24th, and the third and fourth quarter-finals will come up on 25th April, while the semi-final matches are scheduled for April 27th, 2023.

Third place and final matches will hold on April 29th, as the competition will be rounded off on April 30th, with an award night.
