ODU extols Offa Volleyball Club as gold medalists

The Offa Descendants’ Union (ODU) has congratulated Offa Volleyball Club (male and female teams) for their wonderful performances at the just concluded 4th Kwara State Helbank Inter-Club Volleyball Championship, concluded at the Kwara State Indoor Sports Hall Stadium, Ilorin on Friday.

The teams wrote their names in the annals of history having taken the competition by storm to win the 4th edition and became the unbeatable and unstoppable 4rd time (male) and 2nd time (female) winners of the event.

Offa Volleyball Club emerged champions of the 4th edition of Helbank Inter Club Volleyball competition in the male and female categories respectively.

In the final game of the male event, Offa outscored Harmony Spikers of Ilorin by 3-1, (25-23 16-25, 25-22, and 25-18) to win the championship back-to-back.

In the final of the female game, they defeated Tianah Spikers of Ilorin lost 3-0, 25-17, 25-15 and 25-7.

In a release signed by Maruf Ajenifuja, on behalf of the ODU, they described the Head Coach/Founder, Suleiman O. B. Ajeigbe (SOBA) and the Assistant Coach, Oluwafemi Shogo as the Oracle that performed the miracles through the galaxy of stars assembled for the competition. 

Another icing on the cake are the jaw-dropping achievements of Coach SOBA, having produced and injected 10 Volleyball players from Offa into the National team, secured employment for some players and facilitating volleyball professional engagement in Europe for others.

ODU affirms that Coach SOBA has been able to do what Napoleon could not do and hereby appreciates his giant stride, his financiers and moral supporters for making Offa proud.
