Two football matches have been scheduled for the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex to kick-start the activities for the turbaning of the 12th Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Usman Atolagbe Abubakar Jos, as well as the Daudu of Egbejila, Alhaji Ahmed Olanrewaju Ibrahim Dasuki Wolewole.
According to the programme made available to the press by the Organizing Committee, Kwara Ladies United Football Club Team A will trade tackles with Team B, while Team Balogun Alanamu will play Team Daudu Egbejila in the male football match, all at the Stadium, on Wednesday May 4th, 2022, beginning from 4.00pm.
The two celebrants, the Balogun Alanamu and the Daudu Egbejila will both grace the occasion as the Special Guests.
The ceremony continues on Thursday May 5th, 2022 with Islamic Lecture at the Fada of the Balogun Alanamu, between 4.30 pm to 6.30pm, while Waka song will follow from 10pm to 12am.
The official turbaning will take place at the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, between 10.00am and 12noon, on Friday May 6th, 2022.
The turbaning will be followed with Jumat Service, at the Ilorin Central Mosque, between 2.00pm to 3.00pm, as the celebrants, their families, friends and well wishers retire to the Fada of the Balogun Alanamu for reception, from 3.00pm.
The ceremony will be rounded off with a Thanksgiving visit to the Emir at his Palace, on Monday May 9th.
It would be recalled that Dr Usman Atolagbe Abubakar Jos was last month, confirmed as the 12th Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, by His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
