Olabim 6-a-side female football final holds Sunday

The final of this year’s edition of Olaoye Abimbola Female Football Academy organized Olabim 6-a-side Female Football competition has been fixed for Sunday August 29th, 20201, at the Oke-Oyi LGEA Primary School field, beginning from 3.00pm.

The competition will officially commence today, with a lecture on ‘The role of women in sports development’, to be delivered by Mrs. Rofiat Olusola Dauda, the Head Athletics Coach and Lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics Education, University of Ilorin, Kwara state.

Among the teams expected to participate in the talent hunt competition are Olabim Academy, Moje Queen of Erin-Ile, Ekiti Female Football Council team, Offa Female Football Council team and Kwara Ladies Football Club.

The competition was also introduced to widen the scope of female football in Kwara state, and to meaningfully engage the child-child.

The Proprietor of Olabim Female Football Academy, Mrs Abimbola Olaoye said that everything has been put in place, to ensure a hitch-free competition.

Expected to grace the final on Sunday are the state’s Deputy Governor, Elder Kayode Alabi, who will be the Special Guest of Honour, as well as the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Magaji.

Others are the Kwara FA Chairman, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa, Ilorin East TIC Chairperson and CSP Olaoye Akinwale, who id the DPO, Division B, Kwara Police Command.
