Pro-Games Holiday Sports Academy takes off April 16

Kwara based sports promotion outfit, Pro-Games Sports Promotion International has introduced Sports Academy purely for students between the ages 4-17, and about 16 schools, including the Kwara State Stadium Complex have been earmarked as Training Centres across the Ilorin Metropolis.

Pro-Games Sports International was introduced by Mallam Mohammed Jimoh Daudu, the Chairman of Kwara Ladies United Football Club, to discover, nurture and promote sport talents from the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Academy aspect was created specifically for students, and according to Mallam Daudu, registration is free. Registration begins on Saturday 16th April, 2022, with trainings expected to run through the holiday period, and after holiday, it will be on Saturdays only, beginning from 8.00am to 11.00am daily.

Coaches and instructors have been engaged to teach the students the basics in football, athletics, squash, volleyball, judo, rugby, basketball, swimming, handball, badminton, cricket, table tennis, tennis, karate, hockey, taekwondo, chess, teqball, kick-boxing, weightlifting, kung fu, baseball and softball, and abula.

Among the Centres earmarked for the exercise are Kwara State Stadium Complex, Omoniyi Royal College, Oke-Foma, Ilorin, Queen Elizabeth School (Girls only), C&S College, Ilorin, Sheikh Abdulkadri College, Community Secondary School, Ogele, Model Secondary School, Ilorin (baseball and softball and weightlifting only) and C&S College, Lasoju.

Others are St. Anthony Secondary School, Ilorin, Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin, Government Secondary School, Ilorin (Boys only), St, John Anglican Primmary School, Maraba, Ilorin (judo and wrestling), Mandate Secondary School, Ilorin and Nana Aisha Secondary School, Alagbado.
