Ramat Cup: SA Sports charges Team Kwara to go for gold

The Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor on Sports and Youth Development, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim has charged players of the Kwara Football Academy U-16 team, who are representing the state at the 38th edition of the Ramat Cup currently ongoing in Kano to aim for the ultimate prize and retain the trophy they won last year.

Mallam Attahiru stated this in a message to the team through the State Chairman of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Prince Ademola Kiyesola. He urged the boys to hold on to the tempo that has propelled them to the final of the tournament.

He also praised the efforts of the team’s technical crew for the feat of reaching the final of the Ramat Cup back to back, and charged them to keep up the good work and ensure they bring back the trophy to Kwara state .

“I want to praise your efforts so far, you have made us proud by reaching the final of the Ramat Cup and we are rooting for you to bring back the trophy to Kwara State”.

“You have to maintain the tempo, and remain resolute in the final match, I can assure you that success is on the way for the team”.

The team is representing Kwara state at the ongoing Ramat Cup tournament in Kano. They won the competition last year, ending the state’s twenty years wait for the trophy.

Team Kwara, who defeated Bauchi in the semi final today by 1-0, will take on Oyo state representatives in the final match of the Ramat Cup billed to take place at the Kano Pillars Stadium Sabon Garin Kano tomorrow.
