Schools Sports Officers elects new exco in Kwara state

The newly elected officers of the Association of Schools Sports Officers (ASSPO), Kwara State branch have reiterated their commitment to promote sports from the grassroots level.

The newly elected Chairman of the Association, Moses Adebola in his acceptance speech, stressed that the policy thrust of the new leadership is in tandem with the yearnings of all the schools, both private and public, towards the development of all sports at the school level.

He said he is deeply humbled and honored to be elected Chairman.

Adebola expressed his
gratitude to all members for the trust and privilege to serve in the next four years.

According to the seasoned Sports Administration whose vision is clear to promote sports with the following agenda: enhancing sports infrastructure and resources, providing training and development opportunities for officials, fostering partnerships with schools, communities, and stakeholders and promoting inclusivity, fairness, and sportsmanship.

He urged the members to come out with robust ideas to fast track the vision of the founders

The election was conducted and supervised by the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, through the Sports Officer Mr Joshua Ndatsu.

Below are the elected officers to run the Association from 2025 to 2029.

Mr Moses Adebola (Chairman), Mr Ayinde Sodiq (Vice Chairman 1), Mr Busari Alawaye (Vice Chairman 2), Mr Ambali Suleiman Olatunji (General Secretary), Mr Mustaph Kadir (Assistant General Secretary), Mr Saliu Lateef Dalegan (PRO), Mrs. Shorun Esther Iyiola (Treasure), Mr Musa Kabir (Financial Secretary), Mrs Aliyu Aminat (Welfare Director), Mr Kolawole Jamiu (Social Director) and Mr Yusuf Tunde (Chief Whip).
