While receiving the Main Organising Committee (MOC) in his office yesterday, Mr Adeboye said that the Games is an important platform to unwind after a stressful work in the office, adding that he will wholeheartedly support all efforts at having the multi-sports event staged successfully.

“The Herald Newspapers will encourage participation, and support the idea, which I will describe as a good idea’, he said.

He added that his management has prioritised welfare of the work force, even as he pointed out that supporting the staffers of The Herald to participate will be an extension of that welfare system.

“We are working seriously hard to put The Herald on sound footing, and this will also include training and re-training of the work force, as efforts are on to have a training school where reporters will be trained by the best hands in journalism in Nigeria’, he concluded.

The General Manager of Radio Kwara, Mallam Aremu commended SWAN for introducing the Games, which he said, will further strengthen the relationship among journalists and media workers in the state.
