ABS/PTDP Talent Hunt: Coach Scheedow thrilled with discoveries, eyes more talents in Ado-Ekiti

Coach Yusuf Salihu, Head of Technical for the ABS FC Player Talent Development Program (PTDP), has expressed satisfaction with the exceptional talents scouted so far in the nationwide talent hunt.

With the conclusion of the South-South zone in Calabar on Friday, Coach Yusuf, popularly known as Scheedow expressed his satisfaction, noting that the country is blessed with enormous football talents.

“I’m absolutely delighted with the incredible talents we’ve discovered so far, and Calabar isn’t an exception”, he said to ABS FC Media.

“We’ve seen some exceptional young players who have impressed us with their skills, techniques, and dedication. It’s clear that Nigeria is blessed with abundance of football talents, and it’s our duty to nurture and guide them to reach their full potentials.”

Coach Salihu added: “The ABS FC PTDP Talent Hunt has been a revelation, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. We’re not just looking for players who can kick a ball; we’re searching for talented youngsters who have the passion, the drive, and the determination to succeed at the highest level. And I’m pleased to say that we’ve found some real gems so far.”

As the search moves to Ado-Ekiti, Coach Yusuf expressed his eagerness to discover more talented players: “We’re committed to providing a platform for these young players to showcase their skills, and we’re confident that some of them will go on to represent Nigeria on the international stage. It’s a thrilling prospect, and I feel privileged to be a part of this journey.”

The ABS FC Player Talent Development Program (PTDP) will continue in Ado-Ekiti, South West zone, on Monday, August 5th, 2024, with the final phase to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, at a soon-to-be-announced date.
