All Sports Supporters Club elects Kwara Chairman, names Dr. Agaka as Patron

As membership strength hits 74

All Sports Supporters Club has taken a major step towards strengthening its presence in Kwara State with the appointment of Alhaji (Dr.) Jimoh Ayinla Agaka as Patron of the state chapter, after unanimously electing Tajudeen Osigun as the State Chairman.

The appointment and election were ratified as the club disclosed that it has already registered more than 74 members across the state, signaling growing acceptance and support for its objectives.

Presenting the letter of appointment to Dr. Agaka at his country home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Kwara State Coordinator of the club, Abdulrahman Momoh, said the honour was bestowed on the respected philanthropist in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanity and sports development.

Momoh, who spoke on behalf of the National Deputy President of the club, Alhaji Alao Emiloju, noted that Dr. Agaka’s appointment was based on merit, integrity, and his long-standing commitment to the growth of football and youth development.

The appointment letter, dated June 8, 2026, stated in part:

“The management of the All Sports Supporters Club wishes to inform you of your appointment as Patron of the Kwara State chapter of the club.

“Your choice was based purely on merit and your remarkable contributions to the development of football in Nigeria and beyond. We are confident that your wealth of experience and passion for sports will greatly enhance the activities and aspirations of the club.”

Responding, Dr. Agaka, who recently returned from the Holy Pilgrimage in Makkah, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the club for the recognition.

He described sports, particularly football, as a powerful tool for promoting unity, peace, and social integration among people of different backgrounds, races, and social classes.

The philanthropist reaffirmed his commitment to supporting sports development and humanitarian causes through his foundation.

“I will continue to dedicate my life to the service of humanity. Through my foundation and other platforms, I will sustain my support for sports development and continue to assist the less privileged in society,” he said.

The presentation ceremony was attended by several notable personalities, including Hameed Adio, OLY, who commended Dr. Agaka’s unwavering passion for sports and his consistent support for Kwara United Football Club. Also present was his wife, Alhaja Jimoh Agaka, alongside other family members and associates.

In a related development, the Chairman of the Kwara United Football Fans Club, Alhaji Tajudeen Osigun, was unanimously elected as the State Chairman of the All Sports Supporters Club in Kwara State.

According to the duo of the State Coordinator, Abdulrahman Momoh, and the Secretary, Abdullahi Umar Usman, the consideration was based on his proven leadership qualities, transparency, and dedication to the growth of supporters’ activities within and outside the state.

“This well-deserved election is in recognition of your track record as a sincere, transparent, and committed sports administrator. We are confident that your leadership will help unite sports supporters and advance the objectives of the club in Kwara State,” the letter stated.

Also elected into the state executive is Bashir Alabi Yunus, who will serve as Vice Chairman.

Speaking on the development, the National Deputy President of the club, Alhaji Alao Emiloju, congratulated the newly appointed officials and commended members of the Kwara chapter for their commitment and rapid growth.

He pledged the support of the national leadership towards building a vibrant, united, and formidable supporters’ movement that will promote all sports and contribute meaningfully to sports development across the country.
