The Coordinator of the Scrabble event at the ongoing 8th Kwara State Sports Festival, Coach Lookman Olojoku, says the competition could provide an avenue to discover more talented players like Yusuf Abdul-Salam, who won the World Youth Scrabble Championship in Nairobi, Kenya.

Coach Olojoku, said participants from the 16 Local Government Areas have been training rigorously ahead of the competition, which is scheduled to commence on Monday.

He noted that the venue for the scrabble event has been fully equipped to provide a conducive environment for the participants.

Coach Olojoku expressed confidence in the quality of players taking part in the festival, stressing that the competition would help identify and nurture young talents capable of representing Kwara State and Nigeria at major competitions.
