House of Prayer Academy seeks Kwara FA’s support ahead of NLO Play-off

The Chairman of Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa has charged House of Prayer Football Academy to strive for excellence, and be good ambassadors of the state at the forthcoming NLO Play-off in Abuja.

The play-off, involving four teams, will hold in Abuja between June 19th to June 22nd, 2025, at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja.

While receiving the team, led by the Football Director, Taiwo Olowe, at the Conference Room of the FA today June 13, 2025, Mallam Idris, popularity known as Thuraya said that the two Kwara teams for the Play-off, House of Prayer and NA Royal will be fully supported during the Abuja Nigeria National League (NNL) qualification series.

“I commend you for this visit, which is an honour to the FA. It’s an appreciation of the control and supervision we have in the state in football. We placed high priority on the competition, which was why we insisted on merit during the State finals, which produced the two of you.

“I will support the two teams. I know you both have good teams, which are being professionally managed, and I have the confidence that one of you will qualify for the NNL at the end of it all.

He charged the players not to disappoint, to justify the fact that their qualification wasn’t a fluke. He charged the managers to let the player know the importance of the slot they will fight for, by going all out to prove their worth.

Earlier in his address, the Football Director, Taiye Olowe appdeciated the State Football Association Chairman, Thuraya for ensuring a level playing ground during State finals, even as he called for support for the Abuja play-off.

He said that the team will head to Abuja on Monday June 16, in preparation for the play-off.

Also reacting, the Head Coach the team, Coach Oniye Mohammed Olatunji said that his boys will be good ambassadors of the state in Abuja.

The team will slug it out against State rivals, NA Royal FC in the first match on June 19th, 2025, by 1.00pm, at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja. They will thereafter, take on Maikunkele United in the second match on the 20th, from 9.00am, with their last match against Zeal Minds FC on June 22nd, 2025, at the same venue.
