Kwara State Basketball Veterans Club (KBVC) has commenced the renovation of the second outdoor basketball court of the Kwara state stadium complex, ilorin.

The project will be fully bankrolled by the Veterans Club, both home and abroad, to improve the facilities and aid the development of the game.
According to a member of the Veterans Club, Bello Azeez, who confirmed activities began last week after approval was given by the Kwara State Sports Council to kickstart the process.

Recall that the first court was completely renovated last year by the Abdullahi Ahmed-led Veterans when the floor was fixed, backboard changed to fibre glass and a logo of the state owned team, Kwara Falcons inscripted at the center court.

Hon. Commissioner for Sports and Youth development, Mrs Joanna Kolo alongside Chairman of the State Basketball Association, Dr Joseph Adeyemo led stakeholders at the official commissioning.

The latest gesture by the  Veterans currently led by Issa Dahoud will put the second court in good state and will also offer space for practice for basketball players.
