Kwara DOS draws retirement plans, inaugurates committee

Kwara State Director of Sports, Mallam Tunde Kazeem has inaugurated a committee that will midwife his retirement thanksgiving plans, scheduled to hold on July 1, 2020.

Mallam Tunde Kazeem joined the civil service in 1985, rose through the ranks to become the Director of Sports in the state. He was former Kwara athlete.

While inaugurating the 10-man Committee on Monday in his office, Mallam Kazeem, who is also the Chairman of the Directors of Sports Forum in Nigeria, charged the Committee to organize a befitting thanksgiving and pulling out ceremony.

Highlights of the thanksgiving ceremony will include special prayers, meeting with both management and staffers of the Sports Council, and a grand reception and pulling out ceremony at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Stadium Complex.

The reception and pulling out ceremony will be witnessed by the who is who is sports in Kwara and Nigeria, including the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr. Kayode Alabi, the Minister of Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare, Chairmen of Sporting Associations, Sports Council partners and sponsors, friends and well wishers as well as sports enthusiasts.

The Committee is being chaired by ace Sports Broadcaster and Consultant, Bayour Issah, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Sportspro International.

Other members include Alhaji Ahmed Abdullahi, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adeniyi Dan-Kazeem, Jimoh Bashir, Chief (Mrs) Olaoye Abimbola Samuel, Hajia Afusat Adesoye, Alhaji Shola Shehu, Mrs. Mariam Otolorin and Mrs. Mariam Babatunde. Mr. Azeez Bello is the Secretary of the Committee.
