Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa has congratulated the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON) on his installation as the President of the West African Football
Union (Zone B).
Gusau’s instalment followed the resignation of the Mr. Kurt Edwin
Simeon-Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association, who left the WAFU B number one seat following his election into the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), two months ago.
Gusau has been President of the NFF since 30th September 2022, and was First Vice President of WAFU B before this fresh elevation.
In his congratulatulatory message, Mallam Idris, popularly known as Thuraya described the NFF President as an achiever, even as he expressed confidence in Gusau’s vision and leadership qualities, to raise the bar in the management of the Regional body.
Thuraya described Gusau’s appointment as a proud moment for Nigeria, West African Region and Africa as a whole.
“I congratulate our President, Mallam Gusau for the elevation. We are proud of him, and also proud of our achievement as football community in Nigeria. He is a great achiever, who has continued to impact most of us positively”, he added.
