Kwara FA congratulates new Minister of Youth, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim

Kwara State Football Association has congratulated the new Minister of Youth, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim on her nomination into the Federal Executive Council.

In a statement by the football controlling body in the state, Kwara State Football Association, and signed by its Chairman, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, popularly known as Thuraya, they described the nomination as deserving.

Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim was the immediate past Senior Special Assistant to Kwara Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on SDGs.

While commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for conceding yet another ministerial slot to Kwara, which thay say, is a commendable gesture, Kwara FA added that putting a youthful administrator in charge of Ministry of Youth attests to the priority the government places on the younger generation.

Kwara FA equally congratulated the Kwara Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for the great achievement, getting yet another ministerial slot.

“The FA, as an organisation that is in charge of football, which deals primarily with youth, we identify with you, as you take up that huge responsibility, especially considering that youth takes the larger percentage of our population.

“As we pledge our unalloyed support to you and your Ministry, we also want to charge all stakeholders to support your activities as a Minister, for the sake of the youth, for the sake of the country.

Dr. Jamila is from Gure community, in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State. She is also related to Kaiama Local Government.

She is the daughter of former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Issa Bio. who was a two time former FEC member. He was Minister for Transportation during Yar’Adua’s administration, and later, Minister of Youth and Sports.
