Kwara United Football Club has congratulated El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club and its Technical Adviser, Coach Aliyu Zubair, for winning the 2024 President Federation Cup competition.

Kwara United equally congratulated the far Northern Club and its handler, Coach Zubair, for the numerous successes recorded this season.

Against all expectations, Coach Ali Zubair steered an unheralded team from the NNL to qualify for the NPFL, and also beat NPFL sides on the way to winning the 2024 Federation Cup, and qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup championship.

El-Kanemi Warriors emerged winners of their NNL group, which guaranteed them a Super Eight play-off, where they qualified for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Also, the team won this year’s President Federation Cup after beating Abia Warriors 2-0, which offered them a great opportunity to participate in the 2024/2025 CAF Confederation Cup championship, all under Coach Ali Zubair.

In a statement by the General Manager of Kwara United, Bashir Badawiy, he averred that winning a Premier League ticket, the President Federation Cup and a CAF Confederation Cup slot same season is a feat that should be celebrated.

“Coach Ali Zubair has proven to be a good handler before now. But doing it this way is only a reminder that he is a Coach that is worth been celebrated.

“He is a Kwarans, and a good tactician, who has proven beyond reasonable doubt, his potentials to mould young lads to match winners, as proven against Abia Warriors.

It’s on record that Coach Ali Zubair promoted Gombe United, and now Elkanemi Warriors to the NPFL, even as Badawiy hoped that he be given the opportunity to further add value to all the achievements at El-Kanemi Warriors.
