KWSC reschedules School Sports Championship grand finale

The grand finale of the 2023 Kwara State Secondary Schools Track and Field Championship earlier scheduled to hold October 21st to 25th has been rescheduled.

It will now hold between November 5th to 9th, due to logistics reasons.

A statement by the Kwara State Sports Commission explained that the change in date was to ensure adequate arrangements for a befiting and successful grand finale.

The Marketing Committee which was saddled with the responsibility of sourcing for support towards the success of the programme is not relenting as efforts are still in progress.

During the week, the Committee continued the marketing drive with visitations to the Local Government Areas, to seek their financial and moral support.

The team was at the Ilorin West Local Government Secretariat, where they intimated the newly elected Chairman, Alhaji AbdulRahman Babatunde Ladan about the programme.

The team went on to Ilorin South Local Government Secretariat, where they also had audience with the Chairman, Hon. Abdulmajeed Bolakale Nuru Podo.

Equally visited were Ilorin East and Asa Local Government Areas, and briefed the Chairmen, Alhaji Olayinka Garba Agbelere and Alhaji Shehu Amasa Yahaya respectively, both of whom promised the assistance of their Local Government Councils.

The 2023 Kwara State Secondary Schools Track and Field Championship is being organized by the Kwara State Sports Commission in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and human Capital Development, Kwara State Teaching Service Commission and Universal Basic Education Board.
