Nigerian footballer and Greece-based winger, Mubaraq Gata Adeshina, has expressed profound appreciation to renowned photojournalist and 2026 FIFA World Cup-accredited photographer, Abdul Momoh, for presenting him with the prestigious Photography Masterclass Award, describing the recognition as a source of inspiration and motivation.

Adeshina, who currently plays for Nestos Chrysoupoli of Greece, said the award goes beyond a mere plaque or certificate, noting that it symbolizes excellence, hard work, dedication and the power of mentorship in sports and media.

The former Nigeria U-17 international stated that receiving the honour from a respected professional such as Momoh made the recognition even more special.

Speaking after receiving the award, the Ilorin-born footballer thanked Abdul Momoh for identifying with athletes and young Nigerians striving to make positive impacts in their various professions.

His talent eventually opened the doors to international football, leading to opportunities in Greece where he featured for clubs including Diagoras and Asteras Tripolis before continuing his professional journey with Nestos Chrysoupoli.

Over the years, Gata has remained one of the notable football exports from Kwara State, representing the aspirations of many young Nigerian footballers seeking success abroad.
