Sequel to the release of the 2019/2020 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season table by the League Management Company (LMC), using the Point Per Game (PPG) mechanism, the management of Nasarawa United Football Club has held a joint-meeting with the Technical Crew of the club, to officially declare the 2019/2020 NPFL season closed.
During the over four hours meeting presided over by the Club Chairman, Barrister Isaac Danladi, at his office in Lafia, far-reaching decisions were taken, among which are, asking the Technical Crew to present an end-of-season report.
In furtherance and contemplation of the 2020/2021 league season, the management also set up a five-man Budget Committee, headed by a member of Management, Idris Rilwan, to come up with proposed budget for the next football league season.
The Committee also has other management officials as members while club’s Secretary, Hassan Kyauta will serve as the Committee’s Secretary.
And in keeping with the requirements of the Confederation of African Football(CAF), Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and LMC club licencing, management set up an Eight-man Committee, headed by the Club’s Team Manager, Solomon Babanjah, to come up with ways and means to ensure that the Club is properly licenced for the next football league season.
The Eight-man Committee also has all the Club management officials, Club Secretary and Welfare Officer as members, while Club’s Media Officer, Eche Amos, will serve as the Secretary.
Both reports, with outlined terms of reference, must be submitted on Monday, next week.
Subsequently, management thanked the government of Nasarawa state, under the prudent leadership of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for the moral and financial supports given to the team.
Management also appreciated the players for the efforts put in to ensure that the team did not go on relegation.
Management equally appreciated the Technical Crew for their technical input to ensure the team remains afloat in the league.
Furthermore, they appreciated the fans and other critical stakeholders for their moral and psychological supports to the team.
The team was full of praises for the NFF, and the LMC, for ensuring that the league was played according to the rules inspite of the challenging times
The club said it is looking towards the 2020/2021 NPFL season with great expectations, while assuring that it will embark on early preparations ahead of the new league season.
