The Chairman of Kwara State Scrabble Association, Mallam Aliyu Olumayowa Kabir, has promised to consolidate on the podium finish performance of the African Youth Games at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Delta State.
Mallam Aliyu revealed that the state’s scrabble team is prepared for the challenges, and ready to build on the experience of the African Youth Games where the team came 2nd and 5th respectfully.
Aliyu, who spoke to journalists at the scrabble arena of the Indoor Hall of Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, noted there is no injury worries whatsoever, in the camp.
“We are assuring Kwarans of our readiness for medal haul here in Asaba in the scrabble event. The three male and three female athletes are in high spirit for the event”, he added.
He added that the association under his watch is on ground in Delta to support its players and officials to to guarantee medal for the state.
