Ohanu pledges more goals, commitment to Kwara United’s cause

Two goal hero for Kwara United FC in their match against Nilayo FC in the on-going Prince Dapo Abiodun Pre-Season tournament in Ijebu-Ode, Michael Ohanu has pledges to continue to score goals that will assist the team achieve it’s set goals this season.


Ohanu scored in the 12th and 31st minutes in Kwara United FC’s second game in the competition yesterday, against Nilayo, in a match his club later won by 3-0.


‘I feel so great opening my goals account in this competition, and most importantly, happy that we won, as we also hope to do so against Shooting Stars Sports Club tomorrow’, he averred.


‘I wish to, with my colleagues, start scoring goals that will help the team do well in this Pre-Season competition, and also for the club to realise it’s continental ambition at the end of the season.


Ohanu was the club’s Highest Goal Scorer in 2017/2018 Nigeria National League (NNL), and his goals helped the club gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) same season, before he left for El-Kanemi Football Club of Maiduguri.


Ohanu also played for Mountain Top Club, MFM FC and Akwa United, before returning to his former club, Kwara United FC.


The Imo-born player commended the management for encouraging players, especially through welfarism, adding that the players are prepared to work hard, and together for the club.


‘We are working hard with my teammates, trying our best to make the club proud.


He commended his striking partners, describing them as good players with great potentials.


Ohanu said that his mission and vision was to be one of the best players in the Nigerian league.
