Oyadinrin congratulates Olopade on appointment as DG, National Sports Commission

Thr Vice President and North Central representative on the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, Mr Oyadinrin Olatunbosun Felix has congratulated Chief Bukola Olopade on his appointment as the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Chief Olopade, who is the former Commissioner of Sports in Ogun state and also, the former President of Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation was few days ago, appointed as the DG of the NSC by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Oyadinrin equally praised President Tinubu over the appointment of Chief Olopade, whom he described as a season sports Administrator, and lover of para athletes.

Chief Olopade was appointed barely three weeks after Mallam Shehu Dikko was named the Chairman of the newly established Sports Commission, following the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports Development.

Oyadinrin said that the appointment of Chief Olopade will be pivotal in transforming Nigerian sports, adding that his love for para sports and people with disability is being celebrated by the para athletes.

“His wealth of experience in sports administration, leadership, and track record of achievements will undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to the management and development of sports in Nigeria”, he said.

The newly appointed DG is MD/CEO of NILAYO Sports Management Limited and currently the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the upcoming National Sports Festival which is scheduled to be held by January 2025 in Ogun State.

Chief Bukola Olopade was instrumental to Premium Trust Bank signing a four-year deal with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
