The organiser of the annual football competition among All-Stars teams in Kwara State, Coach Song Olayemi has expressed readiness to stage a hitch-free final on Saturday February 22, 2025.

The grand finale of the competition, tagged Eletu Unity All-Stars Football competition has been scheduled to hold at the Rashidi Yekini Main-Bowl of the George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin, beginning from 9.00am.

According to Coach Song, the sponsor, Hon. Yusuf Eletu Saka, through his Foundation, Saka Eletu Foundation has put all mercenaries in motion for an eventful final, which is expected to witness good display of soccer artistry from the golden oldies.

Excel All Stars will take on Ambassadors All Stars of Ogbomoso, in the final.

Eight All Stars clubs participated in the competition, which was part of the Foundations’ efforts at supporting humanity and sports, which also includes periodic empowerment and meaningful engagement.

The All Stars groups that participated in the competition are Kwara All Star Family, Excel All Stars, Bankers All Stars, Unity All Stars, NBA All Stars, Offa All Stars and Ogbomoso Ambassadors All Stars.

Excel All Stars defeated NBA All Stars by a lone goal in the first semi-final match to book the final ticket, while Unity All Stars lost 1-3 on penalties to Ogbomosho Ambassadors All Stars in the second semi-final.

Coach Song, while commending the sponsor for supporting the initiative, thanked the participants for their display of sportsmanship throughout the qualifying stages.

He pledged that the sponsor will continue to support the initiative, as a way of letting the All-Stars remember their youthful days in the business.
