Host Bauchi have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing 3rd Hajia Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed U-15 tourney, currently holding in Bauchi State.
They defeated Gombe state by a lone goal in a crucial first quarter-final match of the competition.
Kaduna state also cruised to the semi-finals courtesy of their 4-3 victory over Ondo, while Katsina and Yobe states scaled through following their 1-0 and 3-1 victories over Borno and Niger states respectively.
Bauchi State will take on Katsina state in the first semi-final on Friday January 24, 2025, at the Main-Bowl of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, beginning from 6:30am.
The second semi-final match between Kaduna and Yobe states is scheduled to hold from 7:30am same day, same venue.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has dispatched Coach Haruna Ibrahim from its Technical Department to Bauchi to scout for exceptional talent at the ongoing 3rd edition of the Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed National Under-15 Boys Soccer Tournament.
Coach Ibrahim’s mission is to observe and identify standout players during the tournament, which features some of the best emerging talents from across the country.
According to feelers from NFF, his presence underscores the NFF’s commitment to nurturing young footballers and further developing Nigeria’s footballing future at the grassroots level.
The tournament, which is an initiative by Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, has grown in prominence, attracting attention from both local and national football authorities. It provides a unique opportunity for young players to be recognized by scouts and coaches at the highest levels.
