Ambassador Femi reiterates support for violent-free sports

The Chief Executive Officer of Double ‘T Baseball and Softball, Ambassador Temitayo Abolarin Femi has reiterated his resolve to continue to support sports development at all levels.

Ambassador Femi, who described sports as a unifying factor and leveler also added that sports is a veritable platform to fight against all sorts of social vices, especially among the youth.

He also said that the fight against vices like cultism, girl-child molestation and drug abuse are part of the characteristics that makes the sector appealing, and that the measure should not only be supported by also sustained.

“I remain resolute and committed to the fight against cultism, girl-child molestation, violence against women, drug use, bad governance and other related social issues. I know the fight can be difficult in our society.

According to Ambassador Femi, he has been at the receiving end of his stern stand against such characteristics, but added that that will not deter him at all.

“I will continue to thank the Almighty God for keeping me alive because I remembered vividly that I have been attacked more than three times because of my fight against social vices.

“I pray for the repose of the lost ones who died in the struggle for a violence-free society

“It is only God and it can only be God”, he concluded.
