Rivers United FC Coordinator and former club Captain, Austin Festus Osemwenkhae, popularly known as Agada Koboko, has been honoured with the prestigious Abdul Momoh Photography Ambassadorial Award in recognition of his immense contributions to football development and humanitarian services.
The award was presented as part of activities surrounding the Abdul Momoh Photography Masterclass and 2026 FIFA World Cup project, an initiative designed to promote sports journalism, photography excellence, and quality coverage of the ongoing global football showpiece.
According to a letter signed by FIFA-accredited photojournalist and sports photographer, AbdulRahman Momoh, Festus was specially recognised for his impact on football development and his unwavering commitment to humanity.
The award formed part of a World Cup project event that also featured a Photography Masterclass Award, recognition of individuals making meaningful contributions to sports.
Festus was conferred with the Special Philanthropist Award, a testament to his consistent efforts in touching lives beyond the football field.
Speaking after receiving the honour, the Rivers United Coordinator commended Abdul Momoh for conceiving the initiative and applauded his determination in securing the opportunity to cover the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
