United Kingdom based Anti-Doping Expert, Dr Ayodeji Olarinoye (MON) was a member of the team that deliberated agreement between the UK Anti-Doping body, (UKAD) and the British Association of Sports Medicine (BASEM) in Doncaster, United Kingdom.
Dr Olarinoye, from Omupo in Kwara state was particularly involved with talks on collaborations of UKAD with countries like Nigeria, yet to establish a functioning National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO).
There were suggestions on improving the knowledge of athletes’ support personnel as it relates to doping across the globe.
Dr. Olarinoye, who is the first son of Dr. Steve Olarinoye who retired from the Federal Ministry of Sports has attended so many Anti-Doping conferences and seminars at major international tournaments.
It should be recalled that Dr Olarinoye was appointed in 2018 as Nigeria’s first FIFA Doping Control Officer.
