Eguavoen, Adepoju, Lawal, Ikpeba, others appointed as Ambassadors of TSO football project

The Director of Football for the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), Bashir Badawiy, has announced the appointment of some of Nigeria’s most celebrated football icons as Ambassadors of the organisation’s football project.

Among those unveiled are former Super Eagles stars, Austin Eguavoen, Mutiu Adepoju, Victor Ikpeba, and Garba Lawal, alongside other distinguished ex-internationals.

Badawiy described the appointment as a strategic move aimed at harnessing the experience, credibility, and global recognition of the former internationals to drive grassroots football development and youth engagement across the country.

According to him, the ambassadors will play key roles in mentoring young talents, promoting discipline and patriotism through sports, and supporting the broader objectives of the football initiative under the organisation.

He noted that the involvement of the ex-Super Eagles stars would not only inspire young Nigerians but also strengthen the structure of the project nationwide.

The Director of Football also commended the Director-General of the project, Hon. Aminu Sulaiman, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth of the initiative.

Badawiy praised Sulaiman’s strategic coordination and support, which he said has laid a solid foundation for the success of the football programme.

He expressed confidence that with the combined efforts of the ambassadors and the leadership team, the Tinubu Support Organisation’s football project would serve as a powerful platform for youth empowerment, talent discovery, and national unity through sports.
