The Hon. Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu has drummed up support for Kwara United Football Club ahead of the 2025 President Federation Cup final.
The final holds on Saturday June 28, 2025, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, against Abakaliki FC of Ebonyi state.
Kwara United defeated almighty Rangers International of Enugu 1-0 in the semi-final on the same pitch, while Abakaliki FC eliminated Ikorodu City on penalties, to pick the final tickets.
Incidentally, Mobolaji Johnson Arena hosted the 1976 final, where the first team from Kwara state to reached the final, Alyuf Salam Rocks lost the to Rangers International of Enugu.
Hajia Modibbo Kawu expressed optimism on Kwara United victory in Saturday’s final, calling on Kwarans to pray for successful outing.
She commended and praised Kwara Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his sports development initiative, which she says, has continued to lift the state to the next level.
“The government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has continued to break new grounds on all fronts, and Saturday’s final is part of it.
“I am extremely excited and happy to be part of history. His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRazaq has given us the wherewithal to do well in all areas, including sports.
