Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo has no interest in joining Paris Saint-Germain amid reports they are keen on a move in the summer transfer window.

MEN Sport understands United have no intention of cutting Ighalo’s loan spell at the club short, and sources close to player insist there is ‘no truth at all’ behind the rumours.

Reports in France initially suggested PSG were interested in a move for Ighalo as they search for a replacement for the outgoing Edinson Cavani.

It was claimed that PSG had drawn up a shortlist of experienced strikers to bring in over the coming months, and even claimed initial contact had been made with Ighalo’s  representatives over a possible summer move.

However, sources insists there is no truth behind such claims and reiterated that Ighalo is already at the club he always dreamed of playing for.

The Nigerian forward extended his loan spell with United until the end of January next year and any summer exit would require the mutual termination of his current deal.

Ighalo has netted five goals in 18 appearances since completing his deadline day move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window, with the experienced striker still happy to play a reduced role at his boyhood club.

The 31-year-old last scored in the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Norwich in June but is part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad for the Europa League semi-final against Sevilla on Sunday night.
