Kolo approves Tsaragi Governor’s Table Tennis Championship

The Kwara State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mrs. Joana Nnazua Kolo has approved the Governor’s Table Tennis Championship in Tsaragi.

This was disclosed today when the organizers of the championship visited Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State ahead of the competition.

The Committee, who were in Tsaragi  to assess the state of preparedness and equally inspect the venue of the tournament was led by the Managing Director of  Sliverwall Consult, Femi Olabode and ace Sportscaster and CEO of Sportspro News, Bayour Issah, who is also the Consultant to ‘Tsaragi 2020’.

Olabode revealed that the visit was necessary as part of their talent hunt intiative and build up to the event as he assures lovers of table tennis of a befiting tournament.

In his own remarks, Bayour Issah noted that the visit was aimed at preparing the ground for the first of its kind  tournament which is scheduled to hold on September 26th, 2020 at Tsaragi Town Hall.

The Championship, which was  facilitated by the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development is organised by Silverwall Consult with the aims of discover talents, and also promote sports development at the grassroots.

The Championship is expected to attract all the secondary school students in Edu Local Government, including Unity Secondary School, Tsaragi, and Bata Kinti Community Secondary School in Dumagi, the hometown of the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Mamman Shaba.
