2022 Kwara State Super League finalists to emerge tomorrow

The two finalists of this year’s Kwara FA organized Super League competition is expected to emerge tomorrow Thursday June 2, 2022, after the two semi-final matches fixed for the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, beginning from 2.00pm.
Oke-Kudu FC will square up against House of Prayer FC in the first semi-final by 2.00pm, while ASQ FC and Kwara Football Academy will take the centre stage by 4.00pm, in the second semi-final match, all at the same venue.
Oke-Kudu FC had earlier beaten Okaa Sports FC 5-4 on penalties after one-all draw at regulation time, in the first quarter-final encounter this morning.
ASQ FC also defeated Police FC by a lone goal, while House of Prayer FC outscored Skillz FC 3-1. Kwara Football Academy defeated Young Antlers 3-1 in the last quarter-final match, to book a semi-final meeting ASQ FC.
32 youth teams registered for the competition, which is a direct qualifiers for the preliminary rounds of the NLO Play-off.
The other teams are UY’ Scuti FC, Ga’a Akanbi FC, Covenant FA, Vision FC, Abdo Boyz FC, Delmerk FA, Gnosis Stallion FC, Phoenix Flayers FC, Future Stars FA, Waziri FC and Yolvic MikeHellenic FA.
Also among the teams that registered for the competition are Aromokeye FC, Elite Athletics FA, Petvic SC, Amapro Selected SA, Emmy Forgeo Sports FC, City Boys FC, Laderin United FC, TAICO Sports A, Foresight FA, TMC FC, Adezzy FA and Olasco FA.
While reacting to the process so far, the Chairman of the FA, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa praised the teams for promoting Fair Play, and presenting standard teams that makes the competition worthwhile.
He also commended the referees and other stakeholders for supporting the cause of football development through the grassroots competition, adding that the FA will continue to provide the right atmosphere for the emergence of worthy champions of the Super League and other competitions.
It would be recalled that La Planet Sport Academia won the 2021 edition of the competition.
