Kwara State Sports Commission is on top of the crisis that arose this morning between Para athletes and the authorities of the Commission.

The Para athletes were protesting the Commission’s decision to drop one of the Para athletes,  Abdulkareem Alanamu, who displayed act of indiscipline against the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji and other managements of the Commission.

The Commission’s decided to bar the athlete concerned from going to the Games was to forestall displaying same act of indiscipline at the festival.

However, with the intervention of some well-meaning individuals and the leaders of the Para athletes, the issue has been put under control.

The concerned athlete Abdulkareem Alanamu is now allowed to go for the Festival after his colleagues agreed to write a letter of apology and undertaking on his behalf, to the Commission.

Meanwhile, the open camping of athletes, which began a week ago has ended on Monday and close chomping begins today.
