The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, extends its warmest felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye Adetona I, the 21st Elerin of Erin-Ile, ahead of his grand coronation ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, 15th November 2025.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Mallam Ismail Ayodeji, and the Assistant Secretary, Sodiq Adebara, the association described the forthcoming coronation as a historic and joyous moment not only for the Erin-Ile community, but also for the entire Kwara State traditional institution.

Kwara SWAN praised Oba Adetona 1, for his calm disposition, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and development qualities that have earned him admiration across the state even before his formal coronation.

The association noted that the Elerin-designate’s ascension to the revered throne marks a new chapter for Erin-Ile, one filled with promise for greater socio-cultural harmony and sustained community progress.

“His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye Adetona 1, embodies dignity, wisdom, and a deep sense of responsibility traits that will continue to bring advancement and stability to the ancient kingdom of Erin-Ile,” the statement added.

Kwara SWAN congratulated the Elerin-designate and prayed that Almighty Allah grants him a peaceful reign, sound health, and divine guidance as he prepares to officially mount the throne of his forefathers.
