Defending champions, Kwara United Football Club, will kick off their title defence in the Kwara State FA Cup with a high-stakes clash against KWAITA FC on April 22, 2026, as the race for state supremacy gathers momentum.

The draw, which sets the tone for this year’s competition, also pitches ABS FC against Ga’a Akanbi FC in the second semi-final fixture scheduled for the same day. Both matches promise thrilling encounters as teams battle for a place in the grand finale slated for April 26, 2026.

In the women’s category, football fans will be treated to an exciting final showdown between Model Queens and Moje Queens of Erin-Ile, highlighting the growing strength of women’s football in the state.

All matches in the competition will be held at the iconic Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Agbazika Innih Stadium, Ilorin, providing a fitting stage for what is expected to be a pulsating tournament.

Kwara United head into the competition with confidence, having etched their name in history by winning the 2025 President Federation Cup, a feat that has further solidified their status as one of the leading clubs in Nigerian football.

The draws were conducted earlier today during the sponsorship signing ceremony between the Kwara State Football Association and Stefolga, alongside FlowFM, marking a significant boost for the development of grassroots football in the state.

With pride, prestige, and a coveted ticket to the national stage at stake, all eyes will be on Ilorin as the Kwara FA Cup unfolds.
