Kwara United Football Club will tomorrow, Wednesday March 13, 2024, file out against Bayelsa United in the Matchday 25 of the ongoing 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter, at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
Going by the present position of the team on the table; 17th position with 26 points from 24 games, and minus three goals deficit, Kwara United must do more than raising their game, and win convincingly, to revive their survival bid.
The bid may have started with their goalless draw against Rangers International at The Cathedral last Sunday, they must therefore, put that behind them, and avoid complacency against Bayelsa United, which will also be seeking redemption after losing their last match at home to Niger Tornadoes.
Club Chief Coach, Tunde Sanni after the draw against Rangers International in Enugu admitted that much has to be done to sustain the team’s stay in the apex league.
He however, expressed optimism that the team will escape the drop at the end of the season, as they are absolutely ready to face the challenges squarely.
Kwara United will also, after their match with Bayelsa United, journey out to Lagos to take on Sporting Lagos in a Matchday 26 encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, on Sunday.
Coach Tunde Sanni therefore, called for sustained support for the team, especially at home, to turn around the fortunes of the club.
